If you’re staying in Waikiki, and are one for a bit of exercise and photography, I suggest the trek up Diamond Head. Equipped with a camera, I did this trek solo a few years ago, and found it to be a very soul satisfying experience.
Once you’ve reached the summit, you’ll get to experience breathtaking views of the city of Honolulu as well as the Pacific Ocean. I for one, am a sucker of both these types of sceneries.
Not only do cityscapes and the view of the expansive blue ocean get my juices flowing, but the fact that you can get to experience both from one lookout point is really a treat for the traveler who is willing to make the 0.75 mile trek up this beautiful volcanic tuff cone.
